For setting up the feature that sends emails that allow guests at your Gala event to check themselves out and pay for their purchases via their smartphone.
To set up self check-out:
Go to: Admin > Site Settings > Gala Auction > Self Check-Out
1. Enable the feature.
2. Enter the "friendly" name (non email format) to appear as the sender on the email your guests receive.
3. Enter the email address to receive any replies made to the initial messages.
4. Using a "friendly" sender name reduces the chance that the message will end up in a spam folder. Checking this box increases the chance.
5. Optional text for the web page the guest will land on when s/he follows the link provided to check-out.
6. The link provided in the invitation to check-out message will expire after the specified # of hours.
7. Edit the invitation message text.
Note: If you would like to view/track which guests used self check-out to pay for their orders, use the Customize button on the Orders page to add "Check-out Venue" to your screen display.
