Built-in promotional sections display Sponsor tiles with the Sponsor's Name or Image (if provided) - and each tile can be linked to the sponsor's website and provide a bio when users hover a cursor on the tile.
Sponsor details are collected after the sponsorship has been purchased by providing the sponsor with a link to the form. When a Sponsor adds or edits their form, a notification is emailed so your team can review and approve the information before it posts to the public pages of your event site.
How you choose to provide the link depends on how/where you are offering sponsorships:
If your team solicits sponsorships offline, then records them on the Orders page - you'll need to send the Invitation to Provide Sponsor Details email.
If sponsorships are being sold via a Fundraising Campaign page - you can embed the invite tag in the CAMPAIGN confirmation email template.
If sponsorships are being sold on the shared Online Tickets Pages, you can do either - though it is most common to send a separate invitation to sponsors only if tickets and sponsorships are being offered at the same time. If you're selling sponsorships before ticket sales begin, you can embed the invite tag in the TICKETS confirmation email(s) - just remember to remove it if/when online ticket sales open.
Note: the Invite tag will only provide access to the sponsor details form if the user has purchased a sponsorship. The invite tag/text will display to everyone, but non-sponsors will only see a message that access is only available to sponsors.
Review and Edit the Appropriate Email Templates
Go to: Site Settings > Customize Your Site > Email/Text Messaging > Email Templates
Click on the desired email template to edit as desired.
To add the invite tag to a confirmation template: Click on the sidebar showing Available Merge Tags > Invitation tags. Place the cursor where you want to add the tag, then click on the desired invite tag to add it to the template.
Sending Invitation to Provide Sponsor Details
This invitation can be sent from the Donors or Orders pages.
Both pages can be filtered to show Sponsors only.
To Send: Select desired recipients in left column > Click Bulk Actions button > Email Selected Users > Invite to Provide Sponsor Details
To Review and Publish Details:
- Be sure you have provided an email address to receive notifications at Site Settings > Registration > Sponsorship Packages > Sponsorship Settings.
- Click on the link provided in the notification email OR on the red button displaying on the Donors page to review sponsor submitted details.
- Notification links directly to the sponsor's form. Donor page button displays donor records to review - click edit to view.
- Click Accept to publish the information or edit/reject as necessary.
