This articles details how items can and cannot be removed from carts/orders.
Your team can remove any item, at any time
Users with Chair, Admin or staff privileges can remove items by editing the order and using the "return" or "cancel" links provided for each line item. If the order has already been paid for, a refund can be issued from the payment section after the item(s) are returned/cancelled.
Your supporters are allowed to remove "store" but not "auction" purchases
Items awarded to the highest bidder at an auction are not returnable because the opportunity to "resell" the item has usually expired.
Items that are only available to purchase online (at a set price) can be removed from a cart (by the buyer) until the cart has been paid for. Like all online shopping - buyers are allowed to browse, add AND remove items from the cart until payment is made. After payment, online buyers will need to request your assistance to return an item or receive a refund.
If items are offered in multiple locations - the most restrictive option is applied everywhere it is offered.
- Live, Silent, and Raffle Type Items can only be removed from carts/orders by Admins.
- Sellable, Signup, Cash Donation Items: Buyers can remove from online carts until paid for UNLESS the item is also flagged for paper bidding.
- Tickets and Sponsorships: Buyers purchasing tickets online can remove from their carts until paid for. Buyers receiving a link to pay for ticket/sponsorships issued by your team (internally or by creating/editing an order) cannot remove them from the cart.
