Although WePay accounts are created from our software, WePay.com is a separate entity from SchoolAuction.net. We do not control or have access to your WePay.com account.
As a courtesy, we are providing instructions below for updating an existing WePay.com account that was created for use with our software. For more specific or detailed help, you'll need to contact WePay's customer support team directly.
Login to your account at Wepay.com
If necessary, you can find the email used to create the WePay account on your event site at: Admin > Site Settings > Payments/ Credit Card > Setup Gateway (see below).
If you have access to the email shown, you can use the reset password link on the login page to access the account.
If you do not have access to the email, you will need to contact the WePay customer service team for assistance. The ability to transfer ownership of the account to someone new (without the participation of the existing owner) depends on a number of factors. If the account was setup for a non-profit or business organization with the appropriate tax identification, there is a process in place for providing proof of your authority to act on behalf of the organization to transfer ownership.
if you are preparing to launch a new event site, you also have the option of creating a new account to allow immediate credit card processing, while working to resolve the status/ownership of the existing account.
To update email/credentials of account owner:
To officially transfer ownership of the account, you must contact WePay's Customer Support team directly.
To change the email and password (but not the name) associated with the account owner, go to: Security > Identity, then use the edit buttons to update the credentials.
To provide access to additional members:
Once logged in, go to: Settings > Members tab to send invitations to set up accounts to additional email addresses.
To change bank account or payment settings:
Go to: Settings > Settlement Details and use the Change buttons
To close an account
Go to: Settings > General and use the Close Account Button
If you want to deactivate an account but retain access to transaction history, contact us firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know which of you event sites the account was being used on. We can remove the account from the site(s) to prevent future use.
