Because you've been scrupulously reading these emails and hanging on our every word, we know you've already made enormous progress in setting up your site. It's time to move on to the Next Big Item on your decision list.
You can create as many admission ticket types as you'd like to offer - at different price points, for sale at different times, sharing bidder numbers or not, etc. (Here's a tip: offer Early Bird pricing to kick-start ticket sales a few months before your event.) The world is your oyster here, and setting up tickets is quick and easy.
How much info do you want to gather from your guests? Complete contact info and name of their first born? Or just name and email? You can customize your registration forms to suit your needs, including creating your own fields to collect meal choices, or the names of your guests' offspring, or anything else you want to know.
You can sell tickets in person and manually enter the guest ticket data into your event site. You can receive RSVPs and enter those tickets and payments. AND/OR you can also begin...
You can send an email invite directly from your site to invite your supporters to buy tickets to your event. Their invitations contain a link that takes recipients directly to your registration page. This is quick and easy to set up, but there is an important step that you must complete first: before you can accept credit card payments for online ticket sales, you have to set up your credit card processing gateway. Until then, you can still offer online registration, but you cannot process credit card payments for those registrations. (You can ask ticket buyers to send a check and hold their reservations until you receive it.)
Selling Sponsorship Packages Online (Plus and Premium subscribers only)
Plus and Premium subscribers can build sponsorship packages (including admission tickets, recognition on your website, and other perks like drink tickets and program ads) and sell these sponsorships on their registration pages.
Importing Tickets (Plus and Premium subscribers only)
Plus and Premium subscribers who have sold tickets outside the software, or prior to setting up their sites, can import those guests.
Regardless of how tickets are sold, they can be managed. The tickets page, like all data pages, can be used to sort, filter, and report Guest info.
