Event Night Planning before it's too late to think
Getting close! We know you're incredibly busy the next couple of weeks, so we will not waste time: this is important stuff you need to know NOW.
If your event includes bidding, our support team will shortly review your event site. (We aim to send out our reviews one week prior to the event, or online closing time, based on the event date you entered in your account.) We'll check some critical settings and note any potential problems we observe. Everyone listed on your Support Form (Site Settings > Customize Your Site > General > Organization Info) will receive a copy via email. Look for it soon.
The review is part of our job, and we're glad to do it. We're even happier when it gets read, and our suggestions are considered and implemented as needed to prevent problems - that's your job!
Quick Pre-Event Checklists
It's time to start nailing down your final plans. Depending on the type of event you're running, you'll need event-night volunteers and a plan for training them, event-night hardware, a plan for distributing purchases to buyers, etc.
You can keep track of critical, final tasks using the checklists below. Don't see one that matches your event? Go to Admin > View Dashboard on your site and use the Event Planning Wizard to see tips and tasks for making your particular event a success.
Experience has taught us that time spent planning before the crush of the last few days is never wasted. Surprises are inevitable but they are at best small, mostly pleasant, and hopefully amusing.
Remember, if you feel stuck, you can always use the Event Planning Wizard on your site's dashboard, and, of course, the Help widget on the right side of every page of your site.
