eChecks allow online buyers to authorize a one-time direct transfer from a bank account for online payments.
eChecks are processed via a secure WePay.com gateway and incur processing fees of 1.5% of amount, plus .30 per transaction (up to a maximum of $10)
If you're using a different gateway for credit card processing, you can still accept eChecks - it takes only 5 minutes to create a WePay.com account for use with eChecks only.
*Note: eChecks are not available with TipTop subscriptions
To Setup eCheck as an Online Payment Method:
Go to: Site Settings > Customize Your Site > Payments/Credit Card > Setup eCheck Gateway
This setting page will display differently depending on your gateway setup for credit card processing:
If a WePay.com gateway is already setup on the event site, the same account info will be used (and display) for eChecks and only needs to be enabled.
If another gateway is setup for credit card processing OR you'll be creating a new WePay.com gateway for this event site, the "Apply" form will display.
Adding eChecks to an existing WePay.com account for processing credit cards
If you want to use an existing WePay.com account for processing credit cards - setup your credit card processing gateway first (migrate your credit card settings from a previous event site if you haven't already).
