This article provides instructions for connecting your livestream feed to your event site.
Planning Your Livestream provides information about your options for producing your livestream.
To Setup your Livestream Feed:
Go to: Auction Night > Virtual Control Panel > Setup Video
Select the desired Streaming Service from the dropdown:
Follow Instructions provided for the selected streaming service:
Built in Streaming via single webcam:
All that's needed to setup this option is to click on the Save Settings button, then click the Broadcast button on the Control Panel when you're ready to preview/test your camera/mic. All broadcasts begin in Preview mode - skip to the "Previewing Your Broadcast" step to see the Preview/Live toggle on the Control Panel.
Built-in Streaming via external software or service:
The software or service you're using to produce your video feed needs to know where to send it for broadcasting. Copy and Paste the credentials provided into your software/service to direct the video feed to our built in streaming platform. Once connected, all aspects of your video feed are controlled from the software/service (eg launching, mixing etc.)
Important!
Our platform is designed for an ultra-low latency livestream feed and uses a different technology than typical online live streaming services (i.e. YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo, etc). You must configure external software/services differently for our "real-time" livestream than you would for a higher latency platform. Click here for more information and our Specified Settings.
Previewing Your Livestream
Regardless of the source of your video feed, it will initially display in Preview Mode on the Control Panel (only). Hover your cursor on the feed to access controls to enlarge the screen. When you're ready to make it visible to your supporters, move the slider from Preview to Live.
