Pre and Post event screens can be set up in advance to convey custom messaging before and after the active bidding/donating portion of your virtual event.
Pre-Event Screen: The bidding/donating section is replaced with space to provide messaging to orient your supporters as they gather in advance of your virtual event. This is typically used to welcome your supporters, promote your mission and provide any information or instructions you deem helpful. It can also serve as the virtual space for pre-event functions, such as cocktail parties, or meet and greets.
Post Event Screen: The bidding/donating section is replaced with space to provide messaging to thank your supporters, promote sponsors and provide instructions for paying for purchases and how to collect any items they have won. You also have the option to display the donate section to allow supporters to make an additional donation.
In addition, the Video Feed box that displays the livestream for your event can be repurposed for your pre and post event screens to display alternate text, images, or an embedded video before and after your livestream broadcasts.
You can start and end your livestream at any point - whenever your livestream broadcast is set to LIVE, the livestream feed automatically overrides any placeholder you created for the pre/post event screens.
To Setup Pre and Post-Event Screens:
Go to: Admin > Site Settings > Virtual Events > Customize Pre or Post-Event Screen
The Customize Post Event Screen settings page (shown below) includes two additional settings (to automatically add the Pay/Cart icon and to offer a "last chance" option to make an additional donation (or purchase a specific item).
*Note: embedded videos will not preview in the html tool editor box - they will display only as an IFRAME icon placeholder - you must go to the public page to view the actual video.
To Manage Public Screen Display
Go to: Auction Night > Virtual Event Control Panel > Controls:
Click on the desired screen button to change which screen displays to the public.
Remember that making your Video Feed LIVE will override any placeholders on your pre or post event screens - to display your Livestream - regardless of the screen visible to the public.
