A Golf Event uses a modified version of the registration (ticket sale) form to replace references to auctions, bidders and tickets to golfers, teams, and starting tees.
Best Practices and Tips
Migrate the golf event template to your site and use it as the starting point for your event. The template changes some site/ticket labeling to accommodate foursomes, tee-time scheduling, etc. Common add-on options, such as mulligans, hole sponsorships, and non-golfer banquet tickets are pre-loaded. You can edit tickets, instructions, and items as desired.
Check out the golf demo site for examples to follow.
Use custom fields to collect handicap or t-shirt size info from golfers.
It’s easy to run an online silent auction alongside your golf event. If you do, use Max bidding, so that your golfers can focus on their rounds.
Things to Consider or Avoid
Don't begin setting up your site before migrating the golf event template. Otherwise you risk overwriting settings you've changed.
