For Acorn, Plus and Professional Customers: QR codes for individual items and guests now display on description sheets and bidder paddles for even easier mobile bidding and self check-out.
QR codes are included on print materials by default, but can be removed by adjusting your print settings.
Description Sheets: Acorn, Plus and Professional only
Your supporters can use their phone camera to scan the QR code to navigate directly to the bid screen for a particular item.
When enabled, QR codes automatically display on the description sheets for all items offered exclusively via online/mobile bidding or buy now.
QR codes do not display for items that are flagged for both online/mobile and paper bidding/buying because there is no way to reconcile paper and online bids/purchases in real time to prevent duplicate bids or overselling the quantity available.
If you have fixed price items with infinite inventory that can be offered simultaneously via paper and online purchase - you can generate a QR code by temporarily editing the item to remove the paper bid/purchase option while generating the description sheet.
To remove QR codes:
Go to Site Settings > Items > Print Settings > Bid and Description Sheets > "Hide QR codes" > Save
Bidder Paddles
Your supporters can scan the QR code on their bidder paddle to navigate directly to their self check-out page.
Note: QR codes are only displayed for assigned (named) guests. If you are assigning bidder numbers at check-in, selling tickets at check-in and/or have unassigned table tickets - bid paddles must be printed individually as guests check-in in order to include QR codes.
QR codes provide access to users personal information (name and contact info). Encourage your guests to dispose of their bidder paddles securely after your event concludes.
